Meet & assist on arrival, Transfer from Airport to Negombo. Check in and relax. Negombo, Negombo is known for its centuries old fishing industry, with busy fish markets and long, sandy beaches. Negombo is a westernized, vibrant city and it is one of the major tourist destinations in the country. Negombo Fish market, Negombo has a thriving fishing industry and is home to the second largest fish Market in the Island. It is known to the locals as the “Lellama”. Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed to Dambulla / Sigiriya via Pinnewala. Pinnawala, App. 55 miles from Colombo, off the Colombo - Kandy road is Pinnawala, where an orphanage was started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now, including Baby Elephants brought from various parts, as well as some of the more than 25 babies born as a result of the captive breeding programme.
